Mindfulness and Mindful Self-Compassion Courses in Lincolnshire
Nothing can replace the practice of Mindfulness and Mindful Self-Compassion and for this reason we are delighted to offer you a range of practical courses aimed at teaching skills that you can take into everyday life. 

We offer evening, half day, full day and
 two day introductory courses.
We also offer an eight week courses for those who wish to learn about Mindfulness and Mindful Self-Compassion in more depth.
We are happy to travel and adapt training for different groups and organisations.


Our courses are based upon the (MSC) training provided by Christopher Germer and Kristin Neff, the training provided by the Mindfulness Association, and the training from the MBSR/MBCT courses and work from Bangor University.

They are also based on emerging neuroscience and the work of Professor Paul Gilbert:  "The Compassionate Mind" and Compassion Focused Therapy.(Compassionate Mind Foundation)

The Mindful Self-Compassion Course (MSC)
has been developed by Christopher Germer and Kristin Neff.
"Research has shown that self-compassion greatly enhances emotional wellbeing.  A randomized, controlled trial demonstrated that the MSC program significantly increased self-compassion, compassion for others, mindfulness, and life satisfaction, as well as decreased depression, anxiety and stress. Improvements were linked to how much a person practiced mindfulness and self-compassion in their daily lives."  Center for Mindful Self Compassion.

Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC)
is a weekly mindfulness training based on the Mindfulness Association’s (MA) Mindfulness One Year Training. It provides a unique step by step journey into a deepening experience of being present and accepting ourselves as we are. The course has a solid scientific evidence base supported by psychologists and neuroscientists. It is consistently evaluated well by course participants who experience clear and definite changes for the good in their lives.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
is a group-based programme developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and colleagues at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre, Centre for Mindfulness (CFM) in America for people with a wide range of physical and mental health problems. The programme involves training in mindfulness meditation together with group work on stress and life skills.  
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) -      
is an integration of MBSR with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) originating in the UK and Canada.  It was developed to teach people who had experienced several episodes of depression to learn how to relate to their mind and mood in a different way. 
A combination of both approaches has been developed in health through the Centre for Mindfulness at Bangor University.
